8am: For those early birds! Free choice of themed activities, musical activities and games, or individual help with practice.

9.30am: Ice breaker games, and whole group teaching session. introduction of daily theme, highlighted styles and composers and musical learning relevant to the day

10.45am: Snack break and play

11.15 am: New song teaching for the day. Children are then grouped into ability/experience levels and teaching focusses on developing specific skills, knowledge and repertoire.

12.30pm: Lunchtime! Please note that children will need a packed lunch.

1.30pm: Practice time, help with pieces they want to perform for others.

2.00pm: Little concert, where children can choose to play for each other.

2.30pm: Collaboration session, refining work as a duet or larger ensemble and usually recording a piece together.

3.15pm: Play out on the field/quiz.

3.45pm: Biscuit time!

4pm: Artwork connected to theme. Children use the music, places, times and composers they have learned about during the day to get creative and crafty (and a bit messy!).

5pm: Wind down and chill out before home. Often Madalina will play a special little requests concert for us, or there might be a game of top trumps or music theory ‘Dobble’ on the go!
