Rachmaninoff Sonata for Cello and Piano with guest cellist Ilona Hepburn

We are delighted to present the deeply romantic Rachmaninoff sonata for cello and piano, performed by guest cellist and friend of Keys Ilona Hepburn, and our own resident concert pianist Madalina Rusu.

Ilona enjoys a varied performing career, most notably performing for the late Queen, and for the
Pope. Chamber music is at the heart of much of her performing, appearing regularly at concert
venues across the Northwest with her chamber group Lucia Strings, interspersed with orchestral
work with orchestras including the Liverpool Philharmonia and Liverpool Concert Orchestra.

Ilona enjoys teaching many young people in the North West. She is the Founder and Director of an annual summer music course for young players, called Summer Sounds, as well as tutoring for the Benedetti Foundation.

Complimentary drinks will be served at 8pm, with the concert beginning at 8.30. Keys students under 16 are completely free.
